About the author

Filiz Efe is a seasoned multimedia producer holding a Master of Communication in Digital Media, a Master of Strategic Communications and Public Relations, and a BFA in Cinematography. She works at the University of Washington College of Education, as the Knowledge in Action project's multimedia producer, funded by the George Lucas Educational Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In addition to her work on the project, she teaches graduate-level multimedia storytelling classes as an adjunct instructor at the University of Washington. One of her recent projects won the 2011 Fund Raising and Alumni Relations Videos CASE District VIII Communication Award.
